A church born from breakthrough

Breakthrough Church launched to be a welcoming, Bible‑strong, Spirit‑led community in East County. We’re passionate about making disciples who love God, love people, and share Jesus.

2024

Pre-Launch Gatherings

Interest nights, prayer meetups, and preview services as God opened doors—early events met in East County (including Alpine) while the launch team formed.

 

2025

Grand Opening in El Cajon

Breakthrough Church officially launches Sundays at 10:00am at 2321 Dryden Rd—a Bible-strong, Spirit-led home for our city.

 

Today

Growing in Community & Mission

Life Groups multiply across neighborhoods; Men of Breakthrough and Women’s Fellowship begin; beach baptisms, outreach, and prayer become our weekly rhythm.

  • Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Jeremy Stewart

Saved and transformed by the grace of Jesus, Jeremy carries a heart for redemption and restoration. He holds a Master of Divinity (cum laude) and is licensed and ordained for ministry. Jeremy and his family love serving San Diego and building a church that brings the hope of Christ to everyday life.

  • WHAT WE BELIEVE

Anchored in God’s Word

We hold the Bible (Old and New Testaments) to be God-breathed—inerrant in the originals and trustworthy today. Our beliefs are historic, Christ-centered, and shape how we live and love our city.

SCRIPTURE

God speaks through His written Word—the final authority for faith and life.

THE TRINITY

One God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternal, equal, and worthy of worship.

 

JESUS CHRIST

Fully God and fully man; lived sinless, died for our sins, rose bodily, reigns now, and will return.

HUMANITY & SIN

All people are made in God’s image and broken by sin—separated from God and in need of a Savior.

SALVATION

By grace through faith in Jesus alone—not by works. The Spirit makes us new and keeps us.

THE CHURCH

A Spirit-empowered family called to make disciples, practice baptism and communion, and live on mission.
