Pastor Jeremy Stewart is not your “typical” pastor. He is the first three striker in the state of California to have his life sentence (for residential burglary) in prison commuted. This high school dropout, ex-crystal meth addict is a walking testimony of the breakthrough that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Jeremy graduated Cum Laude from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with his Master of Divinity. He is licensed, ordained and a passionate preacher. Jeremy uses his story to share the gospel in a fresh and captivating manner. He delivers a message of hope through repentance, in love, as someone who has been rescued from a life of sin and death.
Jeremy and his wife Jennifer are both San Diego natives and were friends as teenagers. They both lived a lifestyle of partying which led Jennifer to drink excessively, teen pregnancy, single parenting and illness. Jeremy was stuck in drug addiction and eventually prison. They were both radically changed in 2010 where they both came to know and love Jesus. They bumped into each other in the lobby of church and connected through their radical testimonies of redemption. They were married August 23, 2019 and formed a modern day “Brady Bunch” blended family. They vowed to spend the rest of their lives together loving God and serving people. God called them to start Breakthrough Church in 2024 and are on mission to help others seek and know Jesus.
